Meet Your Therapist
Hi! I’m Veronica Marquez (she/her). I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Mental Health Therapist, providing compassionate therapy for adolescents and adults in Portland and online throughout Oregon.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from Oregon State University and my Master’s of Social Work from Portland State University. Over the years, I’ve worked in group practice, community mental health, school-based programs, and advocacy organizations. These experiences, along with my identity as a first-generation Mexican-American, have shaped a practice that is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and identity-affirming.
I’m especially passionate about supporting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients, while welcoming individuals of all identities, backgrounds, and experiences. I work primarily with adolescents and adults who are facing moments of change, challenge, or uncertainty. Some are coping with anxiety or stress, others are exploring their identity or navigating relationships. In our work together, we focus on building gentle strength, protective boundaries, and emotional resilience — while honoring the parts of you that feel most true.
Along the way, I’ve seen how systems of power and marginalization can impact mental health. I view therapy as a space not only for healing, but also for building self-compassion and resilience to navigate the challenges of today’s world. My hope is to provide a steady, grounded presence as you move through these challenges and find strength in your own process.
When I’m not in session, you can find me crafting something new, reading a good book, or spending time with my loved ones.
